The catering industry recently reinvents itself, whereby ideas and impulses are coming from the Silicon Valley. Especially for attracting and maintaining highly skilled talents, the catering is crucial for companies and their employer branding. With the canteen, a company communicates its values. A high quality catering favors more satisfied, motivated employees working with a higher productivity. Since canteens often provide food for thousands of thousands of employees, the origin and quality of the products have a crucial impact and can either foster local economy and agriculture or harm it. The food supply of employees is essential for the internal sustainability goals.
Therefore we created together with the CCI (Chamber of Commerce and Industry) the further education program called ‘Manager for Sustainable Nutrition’. This program provides a fundamental further education for the internal process management, quality control and develops the catering industry towards a more sustainable direction.
